Your payment options
You can settle an invoice any of these ways, and every one of them is available from the invoice itself in your client portal.
Payments confirmed automatically
- PayFast handles debit and credit cards, instant EFT, and mobile payment apps such as Zapper and SnapScan, all through its own secure gateway.
- PayStack handles debit and credit cards.
- PayPal, for those who prefer it or are paying from outside South Africa.
Payments through these gateways are confirmed back to our system automatically, so your invoice is marked paid without anyone having to match it up by hand.
Payments allocated by hand
- Bank transfer (EFT) from any South African bank, which is how the majority of our clients pay us.
- Cash deposit directly into our account.
These do not report back to our system on their own, so they are checked and allocated by our billing staff manually. If you have paid by EFT and want it seen sooner, send us proof of payment through your client portal.

Either way, your order is processed by a person
Confirming the payment and processing the order are two different things. No order is ever provisioned automatically: every one is reviewed and accepted by our billing staff once payment is confirmed, whichever way you paid. Orders placed overnight are handled the next morning, with our staff aiming to have everything processed by 11am. Paying through a gateway removes the wait for us to match your payment to your invoice, it does not skip the human step, and that step is deliberate, it is part of how we keep fraudulent accounts off the servers your own site shares.
Where to find our banking details
Our banking details appear on every invoice we issue, and that is deliberately the only place we publish them. If any email, message, or document claims our banking details have changed, treat it as fraud until proven otherwise: invoice interception and fake "our bank details have changed" notices are one of the most common scams aimed at South African businesses, and they cost real money to people who pay first and check later. Verify with us directly using the contact details in this knowledgebase before paying anything to an account you have not used before, and do not use contact details supplied by the suspicious message itself.
Paying on time, and what happens if you don't
Everything is invoiced in advance, with the invoice generated ahead of the due date and reminders on a fixed schedule, the full timeline is in our article on how our billing works. Two practical points: allow for clearing time when paying by EFT close to a due date, and remember that an unpaid balance eventually leads to suspension by an automated system that has no view on how small the amount is or how long you have been a client.
Good to know
We never store your card details. Card payments are handled entirely inside PayFast, PayStack, or PayPal, meaning your card number never touches our systems at all, which is covered further in our article on whether our billing system is secure. And if a payment method you would like to use is not listed here, ask us through your client portal, we would rather find a way for you to pay us easily than lose you to an inconvenience.
